IT might have lost 100 million

crazy

i know he's sick

I damn sure would be. what contracts has he had? The rookie deal and the 4 year 28 million from Phoenix. And that was actually a low contract cause he started to ball out in Sacramento. This offseason can either make or break him. Ive seen dudes turn down offers and never be heard from again. I say listen to your offers, weigh the best fit and dont turn down anything. I know Dion Waiters did the bet on yourself and double down. But with that hip and age, I don't think IT can afford to take a 1 year deal like that.

Sad story all around.

The kid got snaked by Ainge after playing through his sister's death. I can't fault him for being in his feelings over that.

Just wish he hadn't let the 2017 performance go to his head. He's different now. He just is. Breh lost not one, but 2 or 3 steps because of that injury.

Roastin him for being short is irrelevant - breh just wasn't the same player when he came back. Whether its being away from the Boston system, Bron ball, or that injury, I can't tell - probably all 3 contributing to the lack of production. But he hasn't been producing.

I just wish he'd stayed off the court until he was fully healed, not said anything except how happy he was to be playing with Bron, and ride that huge positive 2017 media wave into a monster contract on a NBA Siberia team (PHX, SAC, ORL, IND, etc.). I don't blame the kid for being angry, but I do blame him for alienating a lot of people that were rooting for him.

I'm sure Bron teams are dysfunctional and IT was shocked at how bad it was when he finally started playing again...but still, keeping his mouth closed would've allowed him to maintain all that good media coverage and a team would have picked him up just for the draw. Regardless of how passive-aggressive and moody Bron is, when you challenge him publicly, you will lose unless you're a superior basketball player.

Needed better people with an understanding of public relations in his corner. The first outburst could've been papered over as "frustration" with his play or whatever - "I'm just a passionate guy who loves the game, and I wasn't playing at the level I expect of myself..." etc etc. But the locker room meeting...there was no coming back for breh after that.

I hate to see him go down like this, its just a shame. 15 games, some poorly conceived interview statements and a team meeting cost him $80+ million dollars. That's generational wealth potentially in the hands of a young black man that just disappeared. Hate it.

Ainge works for the Celtics. It's not his job to put Isiah in the best position to "secure the bag".

If Kyrie didn't demand a trade, then Isiah is still a Celtic.

who can offer the most?

his value is taking a hit, no doubt about it, but you think the market will be that dry?
THERES ONLY LIKE 7 TEAMS WITH 10+ MILLION IN CAP SPACE
AND 6 OF THEM HAVE YOUNG STARTING PGS.

A RETURN TO PHX IS HIS ONLY WAY
TO GET MAYBE 14 MILL A YEAR
IF THEY FEEL GENEROUS.

You're absolutely right. I can't argue with that.

Just trying to put myself in the kid's shoes. People aren't always logical - and IT plays with a lot of emotion (what they always call "heart" on sports talk shows). Takes guts to think you can be in the NBA at 5 9", I have the highest respect for that.

I can understand his anger - but if he'd had better people around him, they could have helped him channel that anger in a way that resulted in a payday, rather than self-destruction. Everybody isn't good at everything - we all need help on something, whether doing our taxes or going to a doctor. With IT, he just needs PR help - his emotions are an amazing asset when he's playing well and his team is winning, but when things turn south, they backfire on him.

The only thing Isiah did wrong was play with a bad hip. I appreciate his toughness but you have to think about your future, too. A healthy Isiah was not beating Lebron and the Cavs.
