Ok.Ish definitely says some idiotic things, and does have some idiot in him but this is out of context. He was basically trying to tell Marc that you can find scientists to back any kind of argument.
He didn’t say he agreed with this, but was using this as an extreme example to back his belief that the earth could be flat
To be fair, Marc holds a lot of pandering, nonsensical positions (such as LGBTQ discrimination being equal to or worse than anti black racism and discrimination, or that no one should be in prison). However, when it comes academia and studying, he’s on a different level.
I won’t be surprised if Ish doesn’t even engage him anymore because he’s getting embarrassed in all corners of the internet

Context matters when trying to understand basic info. Like I said, you're either too dumb to get that or trolling, so I'll explain for everybody else not getting what's happening here. Ish is a conspiracy theorist. Him and Marc are having a debate on Flat earth and covid. Marc is telling him these things are proven by science. Ish being the contrarian ass nikka he is, goes to trying to discredit science by saying scientists also said black people were inferior at one point. Marc's retort is that that was psuedoscience not actual science. I disagree with Ish on his conspiracy takes, but he's not arguing what OP is saying.

You’re missing the bigger point. Marc is saying you can’t compare phrenology to astrophysics. One is a science, the other is not.

Even in context, Ish is dumb as hell. Like Marc said, phrenology was never universally accepted as science and it can’t be empirically proven so using it as a “gotcha” to discredit the earth being spherical is peak smart-dumb behaviour. You can prove the earth is spherical yourself with basic backyard experiments, whereas there is no way to prove the earth is flat.
