A distant 5th in 1984 with One first place vote

The 3 years the pistons made the finals(1988-1990) he finished 12th, tied for 17th in Joe dumars, and tied for 13th with Joe Dumars

So basically the pistons were viewed as a good all around team where he was the face but not the driving force mvp level superstar guy. He wasn’t even an all nba guy by the time the pistons started making finals runs, and the gap between him and Joe D was viewed as minuscule.

That don't mean a goddamn thing

Everyone knows he's PG GOAT number 2

Dude played in the era of Dr J, Bird, Magic, Kareem (MJ was still coming into his own with a mediocre team) etc and his stats alone weren't gonna get him it.

And he still won two titles and a finals MVP

It means he wasn’t a superstar like that and wasn’t seen so in his time. He was an all star on a loaded team that won titles

There is zero case for Isiah being the second best PG ever when Steph Curry exists lmao

So now it matters where you finish in MVP voting.
Peja Stojakovic finished 4th in votes for the 2004 MVP.
:unimpressed:
It shows who was viewed as what in their time.

A “superstar” leading a 63 win championship team finished 17th in MVP in what is supposed to be his prime.

That don’t make no sense, unless this was a 00’s pistons collab effort type situation(which is what it was)

Yeah this is not even close to being a serious post

I'm not even going to entertain this foolishness.

The only guy who has a winning record against Bird, MJ and Magic is overrated :deadrose:
Yeah because he wasn’t the driving force. The defense was better than the offense and he wasn’t even a top 3 defender in the team. He wasn’t the best defensive player in his own back court

:mjlol:
