People are not ready for that conversation. LeBron is not only one of the greatest players of all-time, but he’s the most powerful active player in NBA history. He’s the only player with a damn sports agency while playing. He’s the de facto GM too. He puts the team together. Even Kyrie said LeBron is really LeGm. When Russ met with the Lakers, he talked about meeting LeBron at some hacienda or some shyt. One can go on and on.

With that in mind, the ASG being trash, the load management stuff, the players in general being seemingly less “enthused“ to be in the NBA—as if it’s not a huge blessing and they’d rather be doing something else with their life (e.g., Zion and Ja), etc. are all artifacts of the LeBron era. It doesn’t mean that LeBron hasn't had an amazing career, but a lot of stuff people hate about the current league are a byproduct of the time when LeBron was/is the “guy.”

You gotta take the good with the bad :yeshrug:.

This isn’t a pregame warmup, this is 6 hours before the game in an empty arena. He can’t be fined because he isn’t even on company time yet.

Of course Isiah is upset and confused since he comes from a generation of flabby unathletic nikkas who rolled out of bed 10 minutes before tipoff. :francis:

I was ready to laugh him off but….:patrice:

I can’t lie, Bron has ushered in a ton of bad precedent and bad habits to the league

Low key bc he’s following the jay z blueprint of unapologeticness ….except bron isn’t nearly as articulate , sharp, etc as Jay

How do you figure that, Jay isn't anywhere near as vocal/in the public eye as Bron. I don't recall Bron sounding like an imbecile on Hot 97 either.

Lmao, LeBron is a far better speaker than Jay Z and an excellent orator in spite of his education level. You're tripping.

both right

zeke is 90% right just the "hours before" was an unknown

lebron is okay doing what he does but dude is wild insecure and practicing for hours before games and still having holes in your game at 40 is crazy. nikka is out there for photo ops and shyt

he does the right shyt business wise though, remember when they positioned AD to take over the Lakers? same way they queued up Dwight to take over after Kobe? they sacrificed all that and gave them Luka which will net Lakers 100s of millions. He will probably do whatever he wants at that organization for another decade or 2 until they find something else to leech off of

so I cant hate on either opinion here they are both right and can do what they want
