You can't expect to see consistent on-the-ball PG defense when picks are being set every possession. Plus it sounds like Zeke has been watching far too many Lakers games.

Cause the star point guards are either freakish athletes or have an insane handle to go with their quickness. Defending these new age point guards is a team effort, not a one on one thing.
best two way guard in the leagueWatching John Wall play on ball defense on PGs is a joy. :smugwall:
Real talk they can deny this but it is true. Only difference between these cats and someone like Chuck is the rules changed making it easier to score and most of these tweeners are still bigger then him which makes it easier to get a better look at the hoop. The Iverson affect. The point position is a bunch of undersized 2s now. Yall owe this whole generation to Iverson. Most influential player ever![]()

Bad teams always do shyt the wrong way, that's why they bad.Good points....as for the bolded, he and Smitty mentioned that the bad teams don't talk on defense like they use to...letting the guys know where the pick is coming from, which side we want to send him to, etc...also how most PG on defense when they are picked don't even try to recover and just leave the bigs on an island to try to defend....
Dennis be getting in his ass thobest two way guard in the league
Point guards has been attacking the lane since the beginning of the NBA. This isn't a new phenomena. The defensive schemes that are being implemented in this era force ball movement and prompt offensive teams to use picks and screens to create spacing and to open the lane. It is difficult for a front-court players to camp out in the paint like they did in the old days when teams are using motion offense, picks and screens set plays to score. The stretch 4s also drawing big men out of the paint. Even if the NBA go back to the old rules, in defensive side, teams still can't take the chances to camp out in the paint.Point guard goes down the lane nowadays. Omg you see that freakish athleticism getting to the hoop. Look at that quickness. No Nicca how bout you look at nobody stepped up in the paint to stop him because it's not allowed.
Stretch 4's are not new. Big men was shooting jumpers in the 80's and 90's tooPoint guards has been attacking the lane since the beginning of the NBA. This isn't a new phenomena.
