They never cared what kind of peace and opportunity you had to offer they just want bodies. It’s evident in all the Iraqi civilians they beheaded, burned, starved, enslaved, etc. They will hurt you just for the sake of it because they they use fear as a weapon. It’s the tactic they used to bum rush Iraq after the US pulled out. They waited, trained, and recruited in Syria then they used brutality and human waves to make the local forces run away. Then they raped, burned, and pillaged all the localities they captured. Their reputation and ferocity got them victories.
