My established point of view is ISIS are a murderous mafiosi who are barbaric beyond anything we've ever seen in Jihadists. So really that kind of news would confirm my world view. The point is, just because it seems true, doesn't make it true. The media is beating the war drums and putting any old bullshyt on the front page the same way they did during the build up to the war in 2003.

Remember Yellow Cake? Aluminum Tubes? Nigeria? Chemical weapons sites? All nonsense. That doesn't mean Saddam was a good guy, but I still reserve the right to be skeptical about the specifics which are key.

At each point that an Islamic kingdom thrived... science, technology, and math were promoted as Godly.

The actually people contributed some of their curiosity to Allah.

And yeah they were just smart... but they also were aware and had a scientific system that is unmatched in world history... that was back by Muslim leaders in Africa and Asia.

Ancient Egyptians.... well I wish I could pull a thread I created on sohh about their beliefs... but I think you'd agree with Islam more. Plus African beliefs influenced Islam and Judaism.
