JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia -- There are hundreds of young Saudi Arabian men fighting with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), and the kingdom has a long history of links to Islamic extremism, but its leaders are keen to show their nation is also victim to terrorism, and is working hard to thwart attacks.

CBS News' Holly Williams was given rare access by Saudi authorities to witness first-hand the kind of training the kingdom's elite soldiers get in counter-terrorism operations.

Just like leaders in the U.S. and Europe, Saudi authorities fear young men who have fought with ISIS could come home and target their own government.

Ok guys... This thread isn't going anywhere and got derailed within a couple of posts into another muslim vs anti-islam thread. I appreciate the efforts made by @horse. kills to remain calm and elevate the debate but I don't think we could get that thread out of muddy waters.

Thread is on the verge to be closed. I'll talk with @BarNone and @Brown_Pride to see what we can do about religion/atheism talks because it's really the scourge of HL.

I'm pretty sure FARC knows when it's mass murdering Native Americans or farmers who don't sell their coca to FARC that there's no spiritual benefit in the act. Not comparable.

They basically train these dudes and let them filter out but they're scared as hell (understatement) of them coming back home. :whew:
