A revolution never took place by means of a passive existence being void of emotion.
FOH.
Us vs Them is a necessary concept for any collective to rise against the established order.
Problem is that Us vs Them mentality while good in the beginning
(Black panthers, black folks looking out for one another in the 60s on back because white folks had their foots on our necks)
Has now evolved and gone from the
them being "white oppressors" to
"them nikkas down the street that rep a different set"
It's caused more damage than helped, we don't need any ideologies/religions to cause friction and separation amongst blk folks in an already divided and unorganized community.
Buddhism and the eastern way of thought would help lesson that imo.
(Yes its also an ideology but certainly not in the same vein as Christianity and islam, It's simply a way of thinking and nothing more, A "science" of the mind, u aren't asked to believe in the divinity of certain prophets or magical beings... buddhist don't even care if The Buddha actually existed, they simply think the philosophy makes sense, because it does, u aren't going to hell or considered "unsaved" or an "infidel" if u disagree with the philosophy, there is no us vs them mentality)
Christianity and Islam certainly hasn't, the proof is in the pudding. It does nothing but cause separatism.
You can't say that the core teachings of Christianity
(which includes the old testament, Christians love to pretent that their religion is just the new testament) and Islam are non violent at it's very core?
The very core of much of eastern philosophy is NON violence. Look at Jainism for example.
