It's pretty fukking sad LeBron's never been coached by an elite mind. How many rings do MJ, Kobe, Magic, Duncan etc win if they were coached by Spoelstra, Mike Brown, Paul Silas & David Blatt? Spoelstra is probably the pick of that bunch which says a lot.

ATL…overly
Every team gets ran out of the building. Pistons ran the Warriors on Saturday. Chill.

Nah. Not against the team you just played in the Finals in YOUR building and then come back in YOUR building saying we hope it still smells like champagne. That's some flagrant shyt, but the Cavs backed down from the opening tip. This Cavs team might/probably will win the East, when they get to the Finals they'll be exposed again

No that's actually a legit gripe. Out of the top 15-20 players ever, lebron has probably had the worse head coaches coaching him in his career.

The only thing i'll say is lebron had a chance to go to a different them than miami to be coaches by someone he would respect, ala a popp, or a carlisle, had he decided to take less money

You have to want to be coached by those kinda dudes. It's obvious that LeBron doesn't.

Kobe gave Phil all kinds of grief, but one thing Phil would say is that he knew the offense and he listened even if he didn't want to.

This is something that gets overlooked I think. The best coach he's ever had including his time in Miami was either David blatt or Mike brown :scust:. Bird had KC jones, magic and Kareem had Riley. Wade had Riley. Shaq had Phil and Riley. Kobe had Phil. The bad boys had chuck Daly. Mike and Scotty had Phil. Timmy and the admiral had pop. Kerr is showing himself to have a brilliant staff and be a great coach himself. The only other comparison is Kevin Durant and Russ being saddled with Scott Brooks :scusthov:.

Firing your coach after a random blowout in January even though you're still in first place would be beyond overreacting to media/fan pressure because of the "magnitude" of the game. It's not like somebody else can come in and put in a better system at this point, or like they'd be able to even get the best coach possible. But I know Mark Jackson would leave that ESPN booth today for that job though.

To be real though the Cavs coaching staff should spend the rest of the season game planning for only two teams - the Spurs and the Warriors. The Cavs have enough talent to get by everybody else playing iso ball and hard D but they're gonna need coaching in the Finals. Either that or hope OKC ends up in the Finals.

The problem is the Spurs are not going to consistently put there best lineup on the floor...so it is going to be next to impossible to gameplan for them. LMA has been completely destroying small ball lineups the last two weeks...but Pop rarely plays him when teams go small, he still sticks mainly with Diaw and West...because he knows if he puts Aldridge out there over and over and over again come playoffs teams are going to have a ton of film for it...

Maybe for the Warriors since they play that deathball lineup a lot...but the spurs...nah...you start trying to get tape on them and you going to see a lot of stuff from a d league guy and a 3rd string center who caresses men while he dunks on them...both these dudes might not play 20 minutes in the playoffs...though they should...

How are they going to be accustomed to running their sets against a quality defense like the warriors/Spurs if they're playing isoball the entire season leading up to those teams

You can practice it on off days all you want. If theyre not showing the capability of running a fluid offense now, there's no switch that's gonna make them do that when the games really matter because the trust won't be there

None of those great coaches are going to agree to coach Lebron if he's expecting to have those GM powers, of course Lebron isn't an official GM but every move made has to be approved by Lebron , like u said he had the chance to go to a team with a great coach but he didn't so it's kinda lame to use coaching as an excuse.

They could have won more than 2 chips in Miami with spoelstra and omgggg spoelstra would have been the best thing ever but Lebron choked against Dallas so that never happened

It's not a legit gripe. There's no such thing as a Legendary coach before he becomes a legend. He usually becomes a legend by having Legendary players. If no coach can win with LeBron, LeBron is the problem.

My brother's keeper
Riley would've gotten lebron to play to his potential and he's the master motivator. He's also the 3rd best coach in league history, and has won titles playing showtime (lakers) and playing half court (miami). Don't sleep on the don
Spo already got Bron to play to his potential, he's never come close in his time with the Cavs.

The Heat won what they won, I'm no longer playing ifs with that team.

As a heat fan, you never wondered how different the team would've been had riles been coaching from day 1?

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
It's not like they actually listen to Blatt, the problem is they have the pieces to make his offense work but Bron has to play the iso-ball bullshyt. Meanwhile Blatts sets will work if you run them with the talent they have -

They use almost no misdirections in the Cavs set, it's all LeBron + Kyrie high pick and roll, that shyt will not work against the Spurs or Warriors and LeBron seems too stubbon to realize it. If they bring in another coach it'll just be more 1-4 sets where people stand around waiting on LeBron.
