It has also contributed to their offensive struggles in OT in game 1 and late in the 4th in game 2. shyt is so stagnant and if Bron isn't creating they aren't getting anything. If this nikka can got out there and play 50 minutes every night and be effective then more power to him. However, that just doesn't seem realistic. Dude looked tired throughout the second half the other night. They are gonna have to diversify and find other ways to score if they are really serious about winning this series.
True
It's the Cavs defense why they are in this series not iso Bron. Lebron is converting his iso opportunities at a horrible rate, especially last game. But of course delusional lebron stans want to give lebron all the credit.
This is early 2000's ball. It didn't work against the Spurs last year. It worked against the Hawks and BUlls because those teams have offensive droughts. It only works at all because the Cavs can get offensive rebounds like crazy.
It's too late to change the system now, but Lebron can't seriously want to play this way for the next few seasons. Iso-Bron is the reason the cavs always lose leads late. Maybe there's no choice now that Kyrie and Love are out, but Bron was doing this the entire season.
This is coming from a Lebron fan
You can play stellar defense all you want, but if you aren't getting buckets, you aren't going to win. Just ask Memphis the past 5 years.
Lebron is creating buckets, not only from himself, but for his other brothers on the squad.I read some stat that said how Bron had assisted or scored on nearly 70% of the teams FGs. Being that one shot could've saved game 1, I'd say its working. While I'm sure its taxing on Lebrons body and I'm sure he would not want to play like this in the future, its working fam

No way they play this style of Ball if both Love and Kyrie are Healthy.
They actually moved the Ball well in the ATL series.
But GS is a different monster and STYLES MAKE FIGHTS.
It ain't pretty to look at but if they tried to run with GS right now they get BLOWN OUT every game.
David Blatt has intentionally tried to slow the game down and take away possessions from GS since the beginning of this series and it has been effective.
FOr how long IDK cause the cavs are not deep and especially Bron will probably wear down as the series goes on.
IN game 1 vs the Hawks, the Cavs had a big lead late, and then Lebron kept getting turnovers and missing because the Hawks knew what he was going to do. The Cavs keep losing big leads because of IsoBron. It bit them in the ass in game 1 this series, and almost buried them game 2.
As great as Lebron is, he's predictable and it allows strong defenses to disrupt him late in games.
It's honestly not much more they can do Breh.
When GS goes small they have to take Masgov out.
Moving the ball too much and risk TURNOVERS wich GS will kill you in transition with.
I agree with OP...This is the ONLY way they stay in the series. It's like a college football team that runs the Flexbone offense, just POUND POUND POUND on offense while running out the clock and play LOCK DOWN DEFENSE..
Trying to speed up or play too cute will set off a chain reaction that will have the Cavs down by double digits that they CAN'T get out of.
the best shot from JR,Shump, ect IS after 3 people have collapsed on Bron.Who said anything about speeding up or moving the ball excessively? There is a pretty large gap between Bron backing a nikka down with everybody standing there with their hands on their hips and trying to imitate GS or SA. They can keep running the offense through Bron on the block but they don't have to be so predictable and stagnant that you got three nikkas waiting on him when he makes his move. That's exactly what happened in OT of game 1 and the 4th qtr of game 4 and consequently GS went on run both times.
