The same reason that journalists are targets. If you're speaking out against that country, they'll use whatever they can to silence you.

Nobody with power cares about this woman, but let it be one of THEIR kids that gets killed by Israel and they'll raise hell. This is part of, if not the main reason they're so aggressive with college protests and social media. Their kids are on social media, and their kids are going to these schools. They don't want them to do what Thunberg is doing and actually be anywhere near Israel while speaking against them.

If the EU's leader has a child that gets killed by Israel or if one of these dumbass democrats or republicans loses a child to israel they'll either:
1. Reveal themselves to be total and utter cowards who don't deserve anyone's vote going forward.
2. Be forced to hold Israel accountable.
