The Holocaust was the culmination of thousands of years of oppression and centuries of abuse in Europe. Germany was the right place and right time for that particular peak in anti-Jewish behavior but it could have happened anywhere. It probably will happen again to be honest. Chinese-Japanese tension is not comparable, you're talking about an invading military versus governments killing citizens of their own country where they've lived for generations because of their ethnicity

This is not to downplay Chinese strife at all. China allowed many European Jews to escape to Shanghai in the 30s and is honored among many Jews for that. When the Japanese invaded they were staunchly anti-imperialist because they knew what would happen to China if Japan weren't stopped

The reason why I brought up Japanese war crimes is because a lot of politically powerful individuals use images of the horrors of the Holocaust, such as gas chambers and ovens, as symbols to gain authority, justify current day actions, gain material and political benefits, and indirectly excuse behaviors that would be seen as inhumane if committed by others. The shyt the Japanese did (the dissection of live humans without anesthetic, forced sex between prisoners with syphilis, the testing of biological weapons on children, mass murder and rape, and that doesn't even scratch the surface) was just as horrible on a visceral level, and it is almost completely ignored by the history books.

So I recognize that the underlying tension for what happened to the Jews, which was terrible, had built up over a much longer period of time. But in terms of simple war crimes, others went through events equally as fukked up and inhumane as the Holocaust (which also targeted other groups), so invoking memories of that event to lay claim to large amounts of land, and justify mass violence against a group of people who happen to live on that land by proxy, comes across as exploitative.

I addressed this in another post.

I don't excuse the people who committed that shyt at all. I think they should've been castrated and burned alive and been tried for their war crimes. The difference is, Japan got fukked. Their country was broken. Today, they no longer have the power to oppress the rest of Asia. I don't excuse white oppressors who are still in power. The difference is, while Japan has been restored economically, it is no longer capable of destroying the lives of others, the way they once were.

They're not a threat. Today they just make technology and anime and shyt, which I'm not mad at. Sure, I wish those doctors and scientists got tried, tortured, and executed, but they're dead. I'm not going to waste energy on them. And unlike most whites, their descendants do not carry on the same level of hate and actions that they did.

The people who committed it are dead, the government that carried it out was completely destroyed, their descendants haven't carried it on, and Japan is no longer a military power. They don't have the capacity to oppress. Japanese and Chinese relations have generally been chill and mutually beneficial for the last 70 years, despite occasional squabbles. If those squabbles escalate and shyt pops off again, I won't be forgiving. But for now, it's whatever.

i actually sat thru a 4.5 hour documentary that explained in detail with sources how it was fabricated/exaggerated. very convincing i must say, but they've built up such a sensitivity surrounding it that even the mere suggestion has everyone up in arms.

Part of the documentary explained with today's technology creamating 150-200 pound person would take 1 hour and 30 min. And also the tattooing of prisoners was cause it was cheaper then issuing I.D's.

At the end there was a quote from some high ranking jewish defense league claiming (and this is not verbatim) " that we will make this such an issue that if anyone speaks out against it they will be looked at as crazy ( the quote used was different but it is escaping me at the moment.

But that quote is interesting, because it is true.

the exploitation of it is disgusting, i agree. the entire israeli right and the loudest voices of the israel lobby in the US revolve around that

but you have to understand the paranoia created by thousands of years of that shyt. this time of power and prosperity is rare if you look at the timeline of jewry since the roman empire.
