blacks don't fear marriage.... this is the aftermath of gender discourse post civil rights

Once the black woman relied on the establishment to give her housing and employment while also denying her man career opportunities ....it shifted the balance of power /respect

Crime flourished and the rest is history......

There weren't any strong independent black women before civil rights.... men lead and women followed. PERIOD

So you can't blame this generation for growing up in matrichial homes with no positive role models

They were fukked over and betrayed by the previous ones who didn't stick together

They never stood a chance....but hey it's not all bad

Black Africans still hold those values and some island girls too....so there's always that option

I'm probably end up marrying a Black woman from the Africa or Latin America.

Black American women are a lost cause.

Education does not appear to be a top priority. It is completely different in other racial groups. You go to school, graduate, get a good job, get a good job. No questions asked. They understand that being a visible minority you aren't going far without an education. It's a foregone conclusion that the kids are going to College and getting a degree. Look how quickly they abandon they children that don't follow that path. This is a multi-tiered problem but I don't have the time to break it all the way down.

It's one of those things that's not really enforced. Just like marriage and not having children out of wedlock. The shyt is acceptable in our community and it's disgusting. Baby mama, baby dady. That shyt is an embarrassment. We really need a complete clensing.

I agree. We don't have an accepted code of conduct in the Black community.

We accept anything.

I never said I was for or against marriage so chill with the assuming. I have no problem with marriage

Not all people getting married are raising children properly. I'm more concerned with black people actually raising children than whether or not they are married. Black people not being married is no where near the top of problems in the black community.
Marriage isn't the problem...the people in it are yhe problem. A relationship is more than raising a chikd together...the way that two people are with one another is just as important as them raising a child.

Triple Six Mile
- lack of self reliance
- recognition of the enemy
- docility
- short term thinking
- our grasp on our own narrative
- our insatiable appetite for white acceptance
- our lack of a code
- the vile taste we get in our mouths anytime the word separation is uttered
- the fact that worry about hurting the feelings of cacs/ afraid to step on toes and be unapologetically black

Black feminism doesnt but the misandrists who hide behind the label of feminism is where the real problem lies.

What does black feminism encompass and bow does it differentiate from mainstream Becky flavored feminism?

Oh ok I see..

Like in comparison to other minorities, we don't prioritize education like they do.

I see what you're saying now.....

I never grew up with other minorities like Indians, East Asians, Africans, etc.. so I have no idea how they family really gets down...

But if you erase a people's culture, they'll be aimless until their main priority is to reset their core values, and not just soak up the mindset of oppressive majority..

Having a mindset akin to them is not going to improve our current status in this country....

But I'm down for prioritizing education...Absolutely...

All you gotta do is read a history book. There was a time where education was the ONLY thing black people cared about. We pushed education above everything else in this country, and we still had many of the same problems we have today.

Whether it's rap music, the lack of focus on education, the lack of focus on technology, single parent homes, feminism, out of wedlock child birth, and the vast majority of the issues brought in this thread. Go back about 60-70 years and none of those issues existed and we still have many of the same problems that we are facing today. The problem is living in a country where white people are in control. We don't want to believe or accept it but it's the honest truth.

Black people in this country are an oppressed group. The same way black people in South Africa were oppressed, the same way Palestinians in Israel are oppressed, the same way the Falashas in Ethiopia were oppressed. Until we remove ourselves from this oppression, our condition will never change.

Subject Matter has conservative overtones. :troll:Why are you blaming the victim? :troll:What's your political stance? What you have to say won't matter whether it makes sense or not unless you lean left. :troll:Are you by chance a c00n? Can I call you one? :troll:
