So if I was considering getting a portable SSD simply for the purpose of Transferring files and data, are the speeds alone worth the investment?? I see a 500 GB model on Amazon I'm eyeing right now for $127. Someone please inform a breh...

If you’ve got the $$ for an external SSD, the lightning-fast file transfers (esp. between 2 SSDs) will be mind boggling. I have a 32GB USB 3 flash drive which totally screams.

Just bought a 1TB SSD because the one I was using for my PC 127GB got filled, thing is buttery smooth

Your OS HDD should've been an SSD since like 2014/2015

Thank you breh. I’m gonna bite the bullet and pull the trigger. I got some disposable funds. What is a USB 3? Gonna definitely research that...

it’s the current standard, much faster than USB 2.0. All laptops and desktops from the last few years should have it. Still backwards-compatible with older USB ports.

Unequivocally yes. it's the #1 upgrade you can make to your system

A SSD can have a 7-8 year old laptop run good as new

They aren't even that expensive anymore...only if you're going with the premium SSD like Samsung Pro m-2 drives

if your laptop has an sd card reader port you can add another ~400Gb+ by using an sd card (example: sandisk) with a micro sd adapter (example: 8mobility).
