:beli: I hope Lambo ain't completly out of the rotation. I like Robes & it seemed like this was more about being embarrased by Jodie Meeks last time & making sure it didn't happen again, but I don't want Lambo all the way out. I'm sure he isn't going to get much time in the playoffs so all this time he could be getting now is more about next year when Fisher, Butler, & Thabo could all be gone. Hopefully Brooks adjusts this game by game. We just got too much wing depth right now.

Once the playoffs start we'll probably see Adams, Lambo, & PJ3 all become situational guys. Robes & Hash won't see the floor unless something crazy happens. Rotation will be the starters with Reggie, Fisher, Butler, & Collison off the bench.

  • Probably the most notable thing from this one is that Jeremy Lamb appears to have fallen out of the rotation. He played seven minutes, all in garbage time. And he didn’t seem all that thrilled about it with his postgame comments. He talked for 54 seconds, was asked six questions, and said a total of 17 words in his answers.
  • Here’s the transcript: Q: “How you feeling right now? I know you’re not getting a lot of time, but how’s your shot and your game feeling?” A: “Feel alright.” Q: When they added Caron did they talk to you about it or tell you your minutes might dip?” A: “No, they ain’t say nothing.” Q: “Are you frustrated by it? Motivated by it? Encourage you do to anything differently?” A: “Um, it encourages me to work hard, yeah.” Q: “You feel like you’re doing that?” A: “Yeah.” Q: “Reggie went through a similar situation a couple years ago with Fisher. Have you talked to him about it or anything?” A: “No.”
  • And that was it. His demeanor screamed that he wasn’t pleased. I don’t blame him either. He’s been firmly planted in the rotation all season long, playing exceptionally well in his role, and now he’s essentially been trimmed out. He hasn’t shot the ball all that well lately, but Brooks has always given a long leash to guys like Fisher when their shot isn’t dropping. And with Brooks shaking the starting five tonight, going with Andre Roberson, Lamb had to feel slighted that he didn’t get the call. He’s probably thinking, “I sat all last season and went down to the D-League for this?”
  • Brooks on Lamb: “Right now he just has to be ready to play. We have a lot of good players and sacrifices have to be made all throughout the team. And right now he’s not playing as many minutes as he has in the past. He’s a player that we love and that we’re going to keep working with and he just has to stay ready. There are going to be opportunities down the road and he has to continue to do what he’s done all year and do his job when called on.”
  • What kind of annoys me about Lamb’s time getting cut isn’t about his offense, as much as it’s about his quality in the pick-and-roll as a passer, and as a help rebounder. He makes plays. He’s not just a shooter. He can do a lot to help a team outside of spotting up for 3s.

Fisher, Perk, Thabo, and Collison can stink it up on the court and get a pass but Lamb gets thrown in the bushes:to:

gotta suck it up Lamb. you got Brooks'd:wow:

the last part about the pick and roll is what annoys me the most about Lamb, when they put him in those situations he'll end up setting the bigs up lovely, shyt him and Collison have great chemistry. Now, before the minute reduction they weren't even letting him touch the ball, let the kid do more then just in the corner or at the 3 point line looking bored, he is one of the better passers on the team.

they did Lamb like they did Martin last year. just told him to stand in the corner and shoot 3s. Martin was more involved in the offense, running him off screens and such to start the season but after a while he basically became Cook. Lamb had the same fate.

Darnell is working with the idea that Brooks gave PJ3 5 games as the starter & is going to do the same with Robes & Lambo. I hope it's something like that or is just a game by game thing but you never know with Brooks rotation outside of the starting 5 when healty & that Fisher is playing. We apparently told Butler he would get 25-30 minutes a night too. Lambo just has to keep plugging away & be ready when Brooks does call is name. He had been struggling since the break & looked loose as shyt last night with his handle. With his struggles & Fisher actually playing good I can't even just outright shyt on Brooks for playing Fisher over him :why:

That's the problem with your squad. When it ain't Russ or KD, no one else knows wtf to do.

So I was looking up some stats for some of our prospects.

Grant Jerrett - 30mpg 16ppg (44%) 38%3P 82%FT 6.3rpg .8bpg

Alex Abrines - 18mpg 7ppg (48%) 42%3P 80%FT 1.5rpg

Tibor Pliess - 21mpg 11.5ppg (56%) 84%FT 5.3rpg 1.0bpg

Turns out Tibor just had a monster game. He went for 30pts (10/14 10/13FT) 13rebs & 2blks :gladbron:

Brooks came out today talking about Russy setting on some of these back to backs. So our rotation is going to be all kinds of crazy heading towards the playoffs. Last I saw was Robes was getting the start again against the Mavs, so Lambo probably won't see much time again. He should get some minutes in the games Russy misses though. Also think we bring back Royal Ivey when the other Reggie's 10 day is up.

March 16 Mavs W
March 17 at Bulls W
March 20 at Cavs W
March 21 at Raptors L
March 24 Nuggets W
March 25 at Mavs W
March 28 Kings W
March 30 Jazz W
April 3 Spurs L
April 4 at Rockets L
April 6 at Suns W
April 8 at Kings W
April 9 at Clippers L
April 11 Pelicans W
April 13 at Pacers W
April 14 at Pelicans W
April 16 Pistons W

Could end up 61-21 if we play like we should & handle business :ehh:

That was a bad game. They were making everything & we played terrible defense again. Gave up on it at the end of the third to watch Walking Dead.

Actually worried about our first round in the playoffs now a little bit. Just because I don't know what kind of rhythm everyone will be in once everyone is back & the rotation changes again. I just see us giving away a game or 2 in the first round & making it way harder than it should be.
