As someone who has worked in IT for years (edit: less than I thought, it's 7 years) with a masters and IT security certs, this is bolllocks
No one with a CompTIA (only) certification will be getting anywhere close to $200k. As mentioned before that is C level executive money

It's impossible because he's pretending to debate a 50k increase for an alleged extra 20 mins of work a day.

after I just got my latest network certification
I'm debating on accepting a pay raise I would have to work a lil harder for 50 more racks a year
But at this stage in my life I feel like I'm ready to retire, I don't NEED an extra 50 racks for 20 more minutes of work each day

I'll bet my account that there isn't a single poster on this site making 200k or even close to it. 
It's a subtle "Tell" though like in Poker. It's like someone saying they went to Brazil and spoke Spanish with the locals, or saying they revved their Tesla engine loud.
I have never heard someone in that pay grade complain about "working minutes" like that. They may complain about total hours per week, or the commute, or work/family balance... but not like someone talking about how it takes 15 mins more to close the store.
