St John The Baptist resident here which is right below to the left of Lake Pontchartrain and it’s a damn shame they still haven’t had engineers build up the levee there because anytime it constantly rains nikkas can expect flash floods and if a hurricane comes through it’s a wrap. That’s why I’m getting the hell outta Louisiana and moving back home to Jersey. I’m in a hotel in Mississippi which is backwards af waiting for my paper then I’m out before the end of the year. I built my crib after Issac told myself I wasn’t gonna do it again. With that said yes breh it’s foul af that cacs just take the money and leave the people high and wet but what can you do that’s just how it is down here even black officials do the same shyt:francis:

Damn i hate that happened, but Jersey been catching weather flux too bruh, and it’s expensive af out there, but sometimes you get fed up, i understand

Coastal elites will be moving inland soon enough. Only a matter of time.

ain’t no coastal elites in Louisiana, the further south you go in Louisiana the more country it is/reserves

Honestly it’s the rest of the state catching them beats, but New Orleans generates money for the state, but this may motivate them to push weed to get more money

I cant stand when people say.....Just move!!

nikka that shyt is expensive as hell. And if you're lower class living check to check or on government assistance, like a large part of NOLA, there is no way you can afford to pack up your family and just dip. :gucci:

I'm doing pretty well for myself and the thought of moving to another state stresses the hell out of me. So imagine the position of someone who has nothing.

Theres a whole damn country under sea level. The Mississippi is the biggest river in the country we need a port city at the mouth of it.

This is about shytty government planning.

I’m all seriousness I had a speech class
Sophomore year at UIC. I was pretty low after losing my pops to cancer, but there was a Breh that really push shyt into prospective for me.

He was one of the most upbeat and positive people I’ve ever met so I never saw this coming. He said that back in high school he was trapping pretty hard. Before Katrina hit he ended up going on the road down to Florida to cop some weight so he was outta town when it happened. By the time he eventually made it back he found out his entire family had been taken by the storm. He parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins. Everyone. He had absolutely zero family left.

I can’t even fvcking imagine.
