You can do both. Steadily increase your annual income while setting up other streams of incomes that eventually make money without your input. All you need is enough to cover your expenses + gives you a little wiggle room for fun.

Only fools think investments, real estate, eCommerce businesses, etc. are overrated for "regular people". What the hell is a regular person? He must mean a dumb person who doesn't understand trading time for money is the biggest scam ever.

So yeah OP, figure out how to set up other income streams that eventually allow you to quit working 40+ hours a week. You don't need as much as you think to be financially secure for life.
