It might be time for Rock to come home full time

The Rock needs to play a villain. A straight up ruthless villain. And I'm not talking one of those.3rd act reveal, "ohhhhhh he's been bad the whole time." No, I mean a straight up Clarence Bodikker motherfukker.

That's the change of pace he needs. Something that by its very existence will make people want to see if he could pull it off. Something to truly pique our interest.

That said, I'm still gonna see this. Haven't watched a holiday movie in theaters. I like The Rock, Chris Evans and JK Simmons.

I saw an interview yesterday where he basically said he’s done making “those” types of safe Hollywood whatever movies he’s been making and going to do more passion projects. I have a feeling Smashing Machine will blow people away. If yall haven’t seen the original smashing machine documentary it is dark but an amazing watch

Funny thing about Cena is that he had something with Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad. Then they made him a Saturday morning cartoon hero in his sequel show. Suddenly he's another, "my daddy was a bad guy" type villains.

He's one of my favorites but that big ego doesn't look good when you are flopping. And I am not sure Rock can truly be humble anymore lol. We will gladly accept him back in WWE though. He needs to honestly take on smaller roles and rebuild his rep in the hollywood scene

I might be in the minority but I prefer early rock movies (Walking Tall, The Rundown, Scorpion King) over the blockbuster-action type of films. The FF movies were cool….Fast was good too. The movies he did with Kevin Hart was alright. Everything else is mid-garbage.

Rock can do better, but dude wanted to make money over a good product. People will only buy this bullshyt for so long.

Rock's characters are always Mary Sue's. People get mad when you bring this up about women but Rock applies as well

Every one of these movies has Rock being an invincible video game character. It's great for a wtf laugh at first but that shyt gets old fast. We wanna see characters struggle and take Ls before they win. Goku lost half his fights and he's an international hero

The only way a cartoon character like the Rock works is in the midst of outrageous cartoon fukkery, which is why his character in Fast and Furious is still effective. Those movies are physics defying fukkery from the opening credits
