March 15th 2011 we lost one of the true hip-hop icons far too early :mjcry: The man who made every song he was on better, the master of legendary hooks with his unique voice gliding on all types of beats. Also an accomplished solo artist in his own right, far from just a hook man. I'm thankful I grew up on his music instead of this talentless garbage today's youth has. He didn't need no Autotune or special studio effects to mesmerize you:wow:

I just thought we should remember him on the day of his unfortunate passing and share some of his classics here. Time flies and we done lost numerous other legends in these last 7 years :mjcry:

RIP Nate Dogg, thanks for the music big homie. I ain't religious but Pac said there's a heaven for a G, so who am I to disagree? :pachaha:I hope yall found peace in the afterlife if there's one.

Anyway, my favorite Nate Dogg songs, solo and features:

I was thinking about Nate the other day, and I think the thing that saddened me the most as a fan of his was that the very idea of what he did is gone now.

I mean, there's never gonna be another Nate Dogg-type artist to surface AND the ones like him who were his contemporaries (Bo Roc, Kokane, Butch Cassidy, Levitti, DV Alias Khrist) have been left for dead.

Oh well...we still got the classics.

Never have another Nate cos the new kids won't put in that gospel grind and lay down vocals live in church for years before jumping into the Marines and dropping some bodies before hopping onto the hottest label in the world and lacing hooks that ring to this day.

:salute: Nate

We should compile his rarer cuts and appearances cos dude was prolific and collabed all over the world.

Nate Dogg should be remembered more than he is

Shame no posthumous albums have come out

R.I.P. Nate Dogg

Didnt Suge mock Nate talking about he couldnt make an album to save his life and used his first 2 solos as examples?

I mean if Nate couldnt make an album while alive...I'm just saying

I hope he didn't because it was Suge's legal issues and mismanagement of Deathrow that kept the album from coming out on DR. Had it came out when it was originally supposed to, it would have done much better :yeshrug:

Nate didn't have a ton of solo songs just lined up. He didn't record those. That wasn't really his lane because he was eating decent off all those singles he was on.
