It must suck to rap locally and not get love from their hometown...

is the internet cutting out the middle man for the local buzz? i mean has there ever been someone that has passed over the local buzz, made a viral video and got on easily?
im just trying to remember hence the possible dumb question

Kid Cudi and MGK both had 0 buzz in Cleveland and then blew up outta nowhere.:mindblown:

Shout out to Fat Al, Corey Bapes, and Chip Da Ripper who were actually the ones running the city back then:salute:

Ray Cash kinda skipped the local buzz as well and just blew while Ray Jr is holding it down right now & still bubbling under the surface:obama:

nikkas show you nothing but hate especially when you a lyrical cat and spit real shyt and when nikkas fukk with the other local cats that do what's popping in the mainstream and all that Trap shyt, getting love, money and hoes. Reminds of this group that said they didn't get love for they shyt.

This is Trae Da Truth right here. Dude is easily one of the best out of HTown but every since that shyt went down with Mad Hatta a few years ago dude gets no snap in the H. But when you go to Louisiana, Georgia, Miss, and Florida, they all love him.

Bobby Shmurder had the hottest rap song summer of 2014 and neither Hot 97 nor Power 105 were playing it in rotation until after the hype during the fall.
Those are corporate stations owned by worldwide corporations, they only play signed artist because the major labels pay them too. Everyone in the Booth knows this by now. People need to get they shyt on independent radio stations. If your city doesn't have an independent station that plays black music then go to the nearest station that does. shyt I been thinking about becoming a manager because alot of people just don't know how to get their music heard :jbhmm:

so let's say dude has potential to be like a Drake, KRIT, Cole, Joey or K-Dot .... you want him to change to be another Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, Playboi Carti, Future,RHQ or Migos, and Rich The Kid ... smh
I'm not saying that at all, it's just sadly a fact that no one's gonna support something they don't like especially now when you can find almost anything online for free

you like Mississippi breh ? do you think it's good place to live in ? i was thinking about going to Jackson, Ms or Vicksburg,Ms for this job

It depends on where you maybe moving from. It's a lot slower than lets say Atlanta, San Antonio, or D.C. I like it though. The cost of living is one of the lowest in the nation, but there's a saying that goes "Mississippi is a place where you raise kids and retire. Nothing in between." lol Vicksburg is nice though.
