When I was in high school I was friends with a dark skin young lady that had a lot of self esteem issues. I thought she was pretty and she had nice clear skin. Anyways there was some white Hispanic gay dude. They eventually entered into a year long relationship during high school. After they broke up he came out as gay. The young lady herself would say things about how she only dates red/lightskinned, biracial, or non black. She told herself that she did not want a dark skin child. People do not want to admit it but a lot of black people suffer from self hate issues.
