A man's legitimate reason to be delusional lies in the fact that many men learn early that the world will not in any way shape or form help you feel "good" about yourself.
As a man, off-rip, you're easily disposable (to other men and women) and downright the evil gender. So if you don't counter that...life will not be merciful at all. You will get got. Some men counter this reality at extreme levels...but I see where they come from.
In other words the more delusional the man the higher the chances that life, in no way shape or form, showed him a path to actual self love.
