This is a black show right?

I mean the only family we really know is the black family. I don't think that "Is she..." line would be in a white show:patrice:

I just found out they have an official podcast for the series and its 2 black people.

Now I'm a little cautious. I'm enjoying the show so far, but Lovecraft Country was great then went:francis: and the Watchmen show was good until:dame:

I still think 'Watchmen' was damn near a perfect show.

That's cool that we actually got the meteor hitting earth origin story (truncated, but still). Also loving how they're weaving Maturin into the story (more turtle references hiding the shard of space rock in a turtle shell). They also did a good job of explaining why Pennywise ain't just killing these kids straight up (again, gotta get the seasoning right). dikk with that Pennywise-style smile to Daniel was :banderas:

The closing image of the house on Neibolt St. True fukkery about to commence next week! :blessed:

Reading this I'm realizing that the origin of Pennywise is pretty similar to the origin of Aku from the Samurai Jack cartoon

I think you read that scene wrong( or maybe I did). I took the shards to mean that's why he is trapped in Derry and can't leave the town. The shards make the perimeter of the town. So if it wasnt for the indians placing the shards, then Pennywise wouldve probably kept expanding his reach. Like the indian story said it expanded when the hunters went into the forest and made Pennywise stronger from feeding on them. He probably wouldve taken over the world.

That house leads to Pennywise's lair and the tunnels/sewers of the town.

Yeah, I don’t want to say it’s a plot hole but King having IT just chill in Derry but also make it a primordial God who wants to live in the sewers and eat children for fun never made sense. Now IT being the “Eater of worlds” makes sense if it’s more like a virus that gets stronger the more fear it creates. Eventually the entire earth would be taken over.

IT in the books does leave Derry however. Causes Eddy Cochorans dad kill himself. But it could be explained it’s weaker the farther it tries to expand.

Yo did any of y'all watch Castle Rock? It went 2 seasons and was a Stephen King series.

The dude that plays Pennywise was also on that shyt. It's a lot slower than this but if you watch both seasons that shyt was really good imo. It's also things from IT that is mentioned on that show. It's filmed and located in Maine and it's a lot of similar things going on on that show.

How they brought both seasons together on the last few episodes of season 2 was cold as fukk. Up until the last few episodes, you would have thought both seasons were completely unrelated but check that shyt out fellas. When you see how they brought the seasons together it will fukk you up lol.

A lot of great black characters in both seasons so it's worth the watch for nikkas here.
Yea I watched both seasons of Castle Rock and it has a lot similarities to Derry. They are located right across from one another. This video breaks down King's books based in both towns and their interconnected characters and relationships.

It’s a slow burn but IMO worth watching, doesn’t give you all the answers you want and kind of leaves things open ended but some of the reveals are great when it comes together the last few episodes.
