Yea it would be Jcole to move over even though i think lyrically Blu is better than kendrick

Kendrick is a top notch MC and he deserves his recognition for it.

Blu is so damn underrated that i cant even fathom why he isnt more known.

BTW I loved Blu's shyt man. If you were a big HIP HOP fan in 06/07 shyt like Blu, Little Brother, Jay Elec, Y Society, etc gave you hope in a sea of bullshyt rap. Beneath The Heavens is one of my favorite rap albums. I listened to Her Favorite Color all winter when it came out during one of my college years. The Johnson&Johnson album was in my rotation non stop. I'm NOT a Blu hater.

But he fukked up and let a lot of people down, to the point I don't even listen to his new shyt. I still haven't even heard most of Jesus. I remember waiting for him to get tired of the lo fi/unmastered wave he was on. Then I realized he didn't give a fukk about the music. And when I learned he was a fiend it depressed me man. Just like with Jay Elec I had to move on as a fan because I was tired of hoping for shyt that never came.

jonson and johnson album is hella slept on

you should give that jesus album a chance though, some really dope shyt on there

if blu wasnt on them drugs and took the time to master his music instead of recording in the bathroom he would've blown up.

yea man. I see people say Blu only has one album but they never heard J&J. That album is dope af.

I'll give Jesus a shot. I heard a mastered version was released a few years ago. But man I get pissed/sad whenever I hear Blu now...

I've heard like 2 and a half Blu albums. With all these stories about him being on drugs I'm not surprised.

Below The Heavens is one of the best hip hop LPs within the last decade.

He's a candidate for the most talented fukk up in hip hop. :francis:

Kendrick Lamar and J Cole definitely stole the blueprint from Blu and Cannibus.

Was trying to bump that "Good to be Home" album the other month but the sound quality is :trash:

Love the shyt he did with Exile even the "no york" shyt. Sounds like dude has had his problems though, shame.

He sounds so ill over the right production. Soulful.

Blu wasted his talent and that was it.

Can't be mad @ Kendrick that's absurd. Dude did it to himself. Not the industry or lack of push

Most listeners don't have time.for unpolished unmastered albums

I never seen Blu and Kendrick in the same lane.

I do feel like Bishop Lamont could make a good argument against Kendrick tho.

Blu is better than the majority of the mainstream rappers some call goats but his lane is where he belongs if he became a pop rapper with celeberity status than all the qualities that made his msuic special would be gone
