Spurs are not countering offers, they’re just telling teams if you’re interested just make an offer and we’ll put it on our board. They’re not ina rush. The Lakers know Kawhi’s desire to get to LA, the Spurs don’t want to make it easy for them. The Spurs have more leverage when the Lakers get desperate to get a star player in there. If the Spurs trade Kawhi right now, it will just make it easier for LeBron to walk in the door.
