What's crazy about this is that I'm pretty sure Stakes Is High and maybe Atliens came out the same day and Reasonable Doubt and Beats, Rhymes and Life came out the week before. Incredible time for Hip-Hop

This was actually the original, but they couldn't clear the Al Green sample, so Hav got on his genius shyt and made that legendary beat that becomes the album version. It can't be a coincidence that Nas is rhyming over the same sample a year later?

Yes Nocturnal, I knew I was forgetting a good one. I bought all of them the day of release except the AIDS compilation which I got later that year. And later that year we got Ironman, Hell On Earth and Firing Squad
