The losers gang have mystical protection. Pennywise couldn’t touch them as to why he tried to use Bowers.

I like Tim wise pennywise because he’s so awkward and as an alien who hijacked a clowns body it makes more sense to me.

The new penny wise is def a scarier one but he’s way to refined in my opinion.

Also people don’t realize this was the 90s. Most horror movies were slashers and teenagers were getting killed. This was a movie that just randomly came on regular tv one day with no warning.

And kids were getting killed. As a kid yourself the movie was absolutely terrifying. There wasn’t YouTube and the internet to desensitize you yet.

Yeah the new Pennywise is more like an hungry animal. At first thought it was meh but it’s growing on me. Tim Curry’s is like a pedophile or child killer. Definitely the best clown.

The books version is still the scariest to me as it’s clear it’s just a hateful creature and doesn’t really need to eat as it’ll kill someone and not even eat them. Like when it drowned the toddler in the toilet just because it thought it was funny and to fukk with Mike or when he goes and torments the abusive dad in prison to kill himself. No, real reason but just because he enjoyed suffering. Also always shape shifting and intelligent. Though I doubt king had decided it was an alien until very late in writing the story.

I’ve read the book. The movie takes the sane elements from the book but doesn’t elaborate because it would transfer to screen.

Hell the series clearly says without the meteorite IT world take over the world.
