:comeon: nikka your bandwidth does not have anything to do with online gaming lag. I can rock a 6MBs sec dsl connection with low pings and dominate a person with 75MBs with bad ping rates. The actual data sent back and forth is small, its "ping rate" which is more important.

This what you said:
Im rocking that 75MB connection and i have yet to see lag on anything or any failed streams :blessed:

When i do see lag, its the players on the other side rocking them 25MB Road Runner connection :scusthov:

This is the part I was replying to. The bandwidth (speed) does not matter in this case long as it is sufficient. 3mbs is enough for online play. It all about pings.
Now higher bandwidth is great for streaming multiple streams, downloaded large amounts of data quickly. In my area we have Cox and I have 30mps down speeds.

:ohhh:
I'm on 75 mb Fios.
I was tempted by the 150 bit the Brad though:usure:

Is it really that amazing?

like i said i had to get a new router and swap out cards so i can get that increase..i was lucky it was only those things...if i didnt see an increase then they would have come to my spot and redo the wiring which would take like 4-5 hrs for them do...and scheduling it on a weekend would have been even more hassle...i do see a noticeable increase in speed...esp the shyt i download....truth be told i only got as an impulse thing..i had been going back and forth with fios support about my package and deals/promotions and it came to that..its worth it to me cuz next month i can work from home once a week or for any purposes that would stop from going into the office if needed..i need a reliable/fast connection to do my remoting and video conferencing with my coworkers and/or clients
do any of my fellow fios brehs have the phone service in their package? :patrice: ive been kicking it around my head to get a line for the aforementioned purpose of when i work from home and my cell phone service is not up to par for that
