A few questions...
that 300 over wireless is internal to the network speed. meaning if you have two computers on your network the speed between them will be that transferring a file. using actual internet on the 2.4 ghz band you'll likely tap out somewhere in the 20s if you run a speed test. if you have a 5 ghz band you'll do way better than 20.A few questions...
What do you pull down over a wired connection?
And is there a specific setting on your router to get those speeds wirelessly?
I get 55 to 60 down over wired, but only around 20 wireless. My router says it can allow up to 300 over wireless, but I haven't seen it exceed the 20s
My internet is 30 megs but work gives it to me for free so whatever. It would have only cost me $15 per month total for a 100 meg connection but I passed on it because 30 megs is fine to me.

if any wireless devices are connected to the network older than wireless n devices they'll slow down the overall speed. wireless settings should be WPA2 personal AES Encryption to get the best speeds. if encryption is set to TKIP or TKIP+AES it will slow down the network.I have a 5 ghz band and even when I connect my devices to it and regardless of how close I am to the router, I've never had less than 40 ping or speeds up to my max net connection it seems. Any insight on what's needed to do to fix this shyt?
You share that girl breh.
Thats why you will NEVER hit close to 50. I can't clown cuz i have twc too
