if any wireless devices are connected to the network older than wireless n devices they'll slow down the overall speed. wireless settings should be WPA2 personal AES Encryption to get the best speeds. if encryption is set to TKIP or TKIP+AES it will slow down the network.

Ok, I changed this and noticed a bit of a speed boost (like 5-7 megs), but still have yet to get over 32 megs down (my plan is for 50 Mbps) and I've still yet to get a ping under 30 ms, even after moving the router. What gives?

I think it was like $15 more to upgrade from the performance package to the blast package

You probably need to upgrade your modem or router if your not getting your right speeds

My speeds almost doubled when I upgraded my modem.Went from 35-40mbs to 65mbs

That's wireless too no wires(its the same wired) was on some status when I had the security at wep only switched it to WPA2-PSK(AES) and got that speed

For me it worked Cuz i was getting way lower than the service I subscribed for 50/50 like 10 mbps n less Wirelessly

You have no idea how easy it is to hack into somebody's WiFi if they're still using WEP.

Google "WEP cracking" and see what comes up. You can literally crack it in five minutes or so.

Try switching then.. At 1st they said use different channels n some prgram called inssider(google it not sure of name)
Someone suggested the wpa2 thin did it first cuz i gotta pay for inssider on mac

It was 52.95$ without tax with a 250gb cap.
I was finna keep it till we went through 20gb on the first day

so i said fukk it and added unlimited for 30$
It's cool tho it's split up in 3 for the house so i only pay like 30-32 bucks
