I just think we should eliminate conference seedings for the playoffs. instead of 1-8 for each conference, playoffs should be 1 - 16

That would defeat the whole purpose of the playoffs. You would want a team like the Magic in the postseason?

How? The two wildcard teams will have to be undefeated in the wildcard bracket. It'll still probably be the best of the 16 teams winning the top two spots.

Why would the "wildcard round" be played during all-star weekend? What if a team ended up with a betterment record than the "wildcard" winner?

So then you have teams who win 50+ games & still don't make the playoffs?

Their is nothing wrong the current format, but they should reduce the 1st round back to a best of 5 series like they had years ago.

I remember a few years ago the Warriors had 47 or 48 wins and didn't make the playoffs does that mean we should let the top 9 or 10 teams from each conference in? Beyond that if you raise the standard to get in the playoffs you raise the play during the regular season. You cut back on the number of teams and you would have 50 win teams playing hard the whole season instead of resting guys and jockeying for a certain spot.

You have teams in MLB who win 90 games and don't make the playoffs. The Patriots won 10 games and didnt make the playoffs.

In other sports the playoffs are for teams who can win the championship. In the NBA it's a reward for having a halfway decent season and a money grab.
