That compares with 59 percent in Togo, and 27 percent in Senegal. The reasons for this are varied but most people say they use skin-lighteners because they want "white skin".

In many parts of Africa, lighter-skinned women are considered more beautiful and are believed to be more successful and likely to find marriage.

It's not only women though who are obsessed with bleaching their skins. Some men too are involved in the practice.

The perception is actually better than the reality. But the comparisons are legit in that both spaces are colonized due to neoliberalism and are dictated by imperial murderous forces. There are powerful threads on the coli that shows great things happening in Africa and America though, so progress is possible and perception can change.

Nigeria is the main security force for West Africa ( Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo and Cape Verde), and they are doing a lot better against Boko Haram. Nigeria won't be another Libya, and West Africa is starting to enjoy some peace after some countries having over 15 years of Civil War.

Kenya, Ethopia, and other Southern African countries seem to be doing better.

I'm not feeling the Arab controlled countries of Africa like Egypt, Libya, Chad, North Sudan, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco.

In Nigeria there are no ghettos only slums.

In Mushin, Oshodi, and Ajegunle you will see all kinds of people some of them are missing legs, arms, blind etc.. begging for money.

The nicest houses in Nigeria have barbed wire walls. Why you ask? Kidnappers and Robbers. You are going to need security guards. You will learn to live with out electricity sometimes unless you can afford generators.

I get that. However, in about 10 years, I don't see myself living in the United States anymore.

As far as tribalism goes, educate me, how do said tribes treat american black people? Are we discriminated against over there?
