that case is true but this year there was a lot of chatter having Westbrook and AD win mvp, Kobe only didn't get acknowledged because of his trial. It should have been Shaq, Kobe for Nash's 2 mvpsMVP? Kobe wasn't even voted in the top 5 in 2005 (he was never Player of the Month either). He was on the All-NBA Third Team though

You don't win MVPs while losing... Nobody has won it with less than 50 wins since Moses Malone in 1982 (Rockets went 46-36)
MJ didn't win it in 1989 after putting up 32.5pts/8rbs/8ast/3stl/54%FG (Bulls went 47-35)

I can't believe Kobe doesn't have more than 1 MVP in his almost 20 year career in the NBA.
This nikka scored 81 points in one game and still no MVP That season.
I know they say the MVP award should go to the best player on the best team, but going by that logic LeBron shouldn't have won it in 2008 because he definitely didn't have the best team back then.
He should of at least gotten 2 during 05-07 period where he was averaging 32 ppg and lighting defenses up. Instead they gave it to Steve Nash
I don't see him getting another MVP for the remainder of his career for multiple reasons.
At least he still got 5 rings

You could make an argument for 2009 and 2010 when he led the Lakers to back-to-back finals and won them. But they gave them to LeBron instead
Isn't the logic that yall like to use is the MVP award should go to the most valuable player on the best team.
Obviously the Lakers were the best team back then since they not only went to the finals, but won it twice two consecutive years

Players on teams that don't win 50 games just don't win MVPs. That didn't suddenly come out of nowhere just to fukk Kobe over, there is a long list of players on fringe teams who had great seasons and didn't win an MVP. Kobe got the scoring title for his efforts.
