There is an issue: it protects criminals.

A normal individual who values the good functioning of his community should be against anything that make criminals and criminality prosper.

And this is a criminal praising another criminal for respecting the criminal rule on a mainstream platform.

Snitching means the one who's being snitched on is more important than the snitch. It's logical.

From the point of view of the well being of the community, a lesser criminal being freed is better than a larger criminal still being at large.

Snitching is good for the community and bad for the criminals in general ; that's why it's so frowned upon in the underworld.
