I think chip really got fired for being too soft on kapernick crackers where talking greasy on miners radio about Japan and chip basically. Didn't get too involved.
Cacs probably felt betrayed by chips soft stance on kap. They wanted him thrown out the lead him getting thst award is gonna set them off even more. Expect to hear the word "liberal" constantly over the next two weeks.

the team was going in this direction too. roster was thinning out. I dont believe baalke would draft someone else even if harbs was still here. they already missed the offs with harbaugh

To be fair, all the coaches if I am not mistaken came under the same GM. If you're going to fire your GM, you have to fire your coach. Obviously not a good look, but it is likely for the best. Have to get the GM and Coach right tho.
see this is the bullshyt I'm talking about but my Bengals rather hold on to Marvin Lewis for 20 years knowing he won't ever lead us to a win in the playoffs. Real championship organizations will notice when it's not going right and change directions.

This wasn't a very well coached team either, though. I disagree with the Chip firing for the sake of stability, but he didn't do a good job this season.
