Boy oh boy seeing the standards the coli give some players and seeing the standards given to others. SGA putting up good numbers on a bad team and now he pass JA?

:hhh:
We youngest team in league 2nd youngest in nba history and on cusp for a playing spot. Young teams don't win let alone make playoffs, this run is pretty impressive. Shai is absolutely carrying the thunder

Shai is nice. He’s like the nba’s version of Aqua man. I never seen a nikka as slippery as him. His game doesnt resemble any other player I’ve ever seen. Haven’t said that…he hasn’t surpassed Ja…he’s having a better season but he’s never even been to the play-in tournament let alone the playoffs as the guy. Ja has been in the league in less time and he’s already led his team past the play-in and playoffs with monster performances. Until Shai does something like that I’m not ready to say he’s passed up Ja yet…

He's averaging 27, 6 and 8

What stats do you need to see to feel he's made the leap?
I remember seeing that post of who is the next player that people will hate watch.... I think JA might be the runaway winner

Ja was a superstar in the making his rookie year tho, Shai took a while to develop...Ja been at this level since day 1 when the Zion Hype was strong

Volume stats like Westbrook. 55 TS% doesn't move me at all. That's actually below league average efficiency.

He's currently a great player on a great team.

Shai legitimately looks like he could be the #1 option on a Championship team. That's what a true Superstar on the court is to me.
2+ years on and this has aged like fine wine. :mjlol:

Shai is now a Top 3 player at worst and has transformed himself into a historically good scorer while Ja has actually regressed from the player he was 3 years ago.

Like he's a legitimate Superstar on the court now while we're still waiting for Ja to make that final leap.

Did anyone actually forsee this? I knew he was going to be great but I didn't expect him to be the best PG (Luka doesn't count) of his generation.

Gotta be one of my best takes ever. :wow:

Some of y'all saw the vision while other nikkas were too caught up in swag, aura and highlight reel plays. Like @010101 said 2 years ago, SGA was building a game without any glaring holes for the long haul and one that isn't able to be exploited against the best defenses. :francis:

Big guard> small guard. Forever and ever and ever. I would never want a team lead by a small guard
