What team is signing a 5’9 PG to a big long term deal at 30?
No one, but if he becomes a good bench player..he can maybe get a good deal. He will never get the brinks truck but he can get a respectable contract if he becomes a lou will type again, I dont see any team starting him unless he wants to go play for Orlando and they are desperate lol

Why is coming off the bench so bad? He himself says he is only 75%. No one would start a player who is 75%. He just needs to do a 1 year deal next year and try to get a bigger contract after. He can go back to being a six man and will be way more valuable. Nothing wrong with being a six man, wish more guys had Manu Ginobili mentality.
Nothing wrong with being the Manu/Crawford/Lou Will role.:ehh:

nah.

the clippers brought him in as a backup

he would still be coming off the bench if Patrick Beverly didn't get hurt.

baby, that was the old me
KCP our starting 2 and as much as I hate that nikka at times, he's at least decent defensively. IT can come off the bench and guard them bench players where he belongs. Celtics fooled us into thinking he was a starter :camby:

IT is the best player on the lakers even after hip injury :usure:

He should start if lakers goal is to actually win games

So you not gonna say nothing about dragic? Bledsoe?

The whole situation was a mess but it all started with Isaiah. Dragic and Bledsoe were fine before Isaiah got there. Both had career years and won 48 games their first season together. When Isaiah signed the next year, the Suns management said the same thing the Lakers are saying now. "He'll come off the bench and get a lot of minutes".

The problem is when Isaiah would talk to the media about wanting to be a starter and fired his agent. Hornacek tried to make it work using a 3 point guard lineup more often but Dragic hated standing in a corner as a small forward. The team wasn't winning like they expected and things went downhill.

Dragic went to management and asked them to deal with the Isaiah situation. They agreed they would move Isaiah but they took too long. Once the trade deadline got near and Isaiah still wasn't traded, Dragic got pissed and demanded a trade himself. Put the team on blast and said he couldn't trust them. Everyone involved could have handled the situation better so it's not all Isaiah's fault but the drama started with Isaiah refusing to accept his role.

He’s clearly better than both of them :yeshrug:
