What gets lost in the cultural appropriation issue: the wyte majority basically told black americans that our natural hair styles were unkempt, dirty, unattractive, and or inappropriate to have in most aspects of daily life ..... hence the concs, hot combing, relaxers, weaves,and wigs.
I'm in no way impressed when the coddled decenants of colonizers walk around with locs/dreds. Getting funny looks from other cacs isn't the "gotcha" or "we shall overcome" moment like they think it is.
