Sports fans can be rather irrational, but it would be appreciated if everybody consistently applied the same rules to everybody.
The worst offenders are, without argument, kobestans. When talking about Kobe's career PPG, they say "You should throw out his first few years because he was on the bench."
But, when they want to talk about scoring TOTALS, they don't demand that his first few years should be thrown out.
I know that particular group has transformed an alternative lifestyle into an alternative universe. But the NBA playoffs always brings on a rash of fans who rip apart player X for something that equally applies to player Y. One of the worst examples is Lebron fans saying about Melo what everybody used to unfairly say about Lebron.
Hating on teams/players is fine, but whatever your criteria, it should be applied equally to everybody.
