From shivering in a cave half naked, hiding from predators, probably only going to live to see 30....

to building skyscrapers, planes that can circumvent the world in at most day, jets the can break the sound barrier, vaccines for several diseases, communicating with people from the globe, seeing the wonder of space, traveling to the moon and sending robots to mars, power to dominate any animal with the gun as well as the power to annihilate the majority of all life(expect bacteria, cockroaches, sea life etc) with nuclear weapons.

whats next?

:ohhh:when you break it down op you're completely right. It really is amazing. We really do take it for granted. We got cars driving themselves now, human progress is pretty crazy damn.

Stephen Hawkings already laid out our future if things keep going the way they are currently

If machines produce everything we need, the outcome will depend on how things are distributed. Everyone can enjoy a life of luxurious leisure if the machine-produced wealth is shared, or most people can end up miserably poor if the machine-owners successfully lobby against wealth redistribution. So far, the trend seems to be toward the second option, with technology driving ever-increasing inequality.

And if shyt ain't (whatever could be done at this point) about climate change, than very few, if any humans will survive. All that progress only for us as a species to end up cooking ourselves with a ever collapsing biosphere.
