I thought Searching for Jerry Garcia was going to break dude out as a solo artist. I always thought him and strangly enough Bizarre were the best rappers on D-12. Shame to see a dude after grinding for over a decade die before he can really enjoy the fruits of his success.

i never was a fan of D-12 but I always got this vibe that this dude was like some legendary figure in detroit hip hop

i thought it was dope that eminem kept a dude like that in his corner

crazy how this nikka died in a shootout on 8-mile though...
all that success and traveling the world to better you situation

7mile to SE & Uptown!
I met Proof several times and was pretty cool with most of his Iron fist crew. Good and personable dude. Even with having been around the world with Em he still made an effort to support the Detroit underground scene...sad that's what pretty much got him killed. Weird coincidence that I remember is that on the day Blade Icewood was murdered Proof was at a show my camp was hosting and we had a moment of silence. Almost a year to that day Proof was murdered :mjcry:

Yeah Bizarre had a pretty decent buzz going on , if he had sign to Shady as a solo act I think he could've done numbers

Eminem indirectly killed him. Proof was probably so ashamed of being associated with a culture stealing cac that he overcompensated by staying in the streets and got himself killed.

Neck ties and boxing gloves.
R.I.P.

That album was really good and I always respected he did the album on his own terms when he could have easily taken advantage of his relationship with Em.

His death left a vacuum on the Detroit scene and his death almost killed one of the best to do it.
