I still revisit it from time to time and get inspired by shyt that I missed on that album

Once I got past the fact that Andre doesn't really rap on the album, and listened to it for what it is,

It became one of my personal favorite bodies of work from any artist

bruh as a Hip-Hop album it's really good
and it's hella influential

How is this not a classic

I'm not mad at people for liking it but Andre singing is Jordan playing baseball status. At best it's not as good as what you know he's capable of in another field....at worst it's a waste of time and talent. Andre and Outkast in general were at the height of their popularity when this came out and he squandered all his potential as an MC on an album full of singing.

To expand on the Jordan comparison imagine if he really retired from basketball in '94 to play baseball full time and didn't return until he was on the Wizards.

To add insult to injury aside from a few guest verses Andre basically stopped rapping after this, too.
