Yeah I knew Chop too...it's a lot of stories about Chop's murder as well. He was from my hood around State fair and John R and dude stayed in some shyt...
But about the Proof situation it's well know that the Security Guard shot proof cause Proof was pistol whipping his cousin. He admitted to it and got off CAUSE of the fact Proof was known as a hothead and probably was being investigated for some bodies. But other cats probably did get caught up in the aftermath cause all of them involved were from that Osborn Hood.

This is what Ive heard/been told the most, along with the Security Guard being the one that shot/killed his own cousin (by mistake) and Proof (target).
