Life is still very blessed. Album is a solid 4/5 mic. Not a classic but one of the best albums to drop in the last few years. :blessed:

Yes this album was dope and its a lot easier to listen to than most of nas's work even tho I enjoy the complex nas this shows his versatility more than any of his other albums. Quality wise it's a classic but impact wise maybe not. It's gone be one of them slept on albums nikkas always go back to

You are incorrect sir this album is not 4/5 :mjpls: it's 5/5

:whoa: It's not a 5 mic album purely because it didn't have the impact that a 5 mic (classic) album would. I love this album as much as any one and I stan for Nas hard but aside from the critical acclaim it received in magazines, it didn't get the awards it deserved nor did it impact any ones style to create an album like Life is Good. Now there's two ways of looking at this really, can any one even aspire to create an album as good as life is good or is Nas' legacy so imprinted within Hip Hop that any album he releases will just be swallowed up by the bigger picture he helped create?

You might feel like I'm being harsh by giving him 4/5 mics because no matter which way you look at it, you can't really compare Nas as an MC to any one within this Hip Hop shyt. I've said it countless times Nas is a God of Hip Hop, he's like a living prophet and comparing him to any one new would be unfair on that other person. But I do feel that he still has it within him to switch up something in the game, to change something and give impact to this genre. I know he still has it in him and for that I wont accept this album as a 5 mic. I wont accept it as a classic because I feel like it's not as good as IWW and I'm adamant he has it within him to create something musically better than anything he ever has.

Mediocre. I liked Nas on DR more.

You can't really compare the two breh, DR is conceptually a completely different type of album. I can appreciate the two for what they are, both are dope but I can see where you're coming from. The aggressive vibe around DR is something that gets you hyped but I can't listen to it all the time. I can bump some Life is Good and make some food, I can't really cook bumping Nah Mean. Nah Mean? :manny:
