What is he now late 30's? Would make sense to come and get some big checks for when retirement comes. Another serious injury to any top guy and they'll have no choice but to seek his services.

I don't want AJ coming to the WWE if they put him in NXT first. People shyt on TNA a lot but at one time it was a strong number 2 wrestling promotion. Putting a former world champion on a development show is a slap in the face. Not saying he needs to instantly main event a wrestlemania but he needs to be in the main event or at least upper mid card.

NXT isn't really considered just a "development" show anymore.

NXT isn't really considered just a "development" show anymore.

It is seen as a notch below WWE proper though. That is why they still refer to it as guys "being called up" from NXT.
And AJ Styles doesn't need to be relegated to the WWE Junior league if he were to sign with the company since he is better than the majority of the guys on the main roster.
