Apparently not enough people, since they're making more money than ever, just signed their biggest rights deals ever, are now in more countries touring and television than ever. But yeah, nerds who won't stop watching 3 hours of Raw every week despite hating it are complaining about how stale shyt is.
This whole narrative that if Roman magically disappeared tomorrow, everything that ails WWE would miraculously cease is laughable They're making money hand over fist in spite of their terrible booking of the entire roster. Roman isn't the problem but I'm gon let y'all cook.

So 25 prior years of Raw being the basis of most of USAs overall ratings had no part in them getting that deal? The pissed off fans are incrementally building up a competitor to WWE. It’s not going to happen in 2018 but between All In & NJPW running US quarterly, something’s happening on that end. Yes Vince cares deeply about it.
All In and NJPW doing US shows mean absolutely nothing to WWE's TV deals. Yeah, it's great there is some competition brewing again. @ me when NJ on AXS gets anywhere close to even a million viewers. Or when the Young Bucks have a billion dollar weekly TV show. Vince might care deeply, but All in and NJ aren't competitors to his company in the least. Unless you think Big 3 is a competitor to the NBA as well.

Exactly. When dude got injured and when he got suspended, the product stayed as bad and with the exact same numbers.
After the last couple of huge money deals, we are in the peak of the "It doesn't matter" Era, blaming one guy or one guy's push makes no sense at this point.

Let's wait till New Japan and/or The Elite pass the novelty stage of their shows and continue to do good business in 1 or 2 years.
The Indy scene is certainly in a boom, but it's still the Indy scene for all intents and purposes, we just have more access to it with all the streaming services.

Here's the problem, people go to shows to see other wrestlers. Roman may just so happen to be on the card/main event.
I watch to see other people perform and usually turn away when Roman is on screen.
