Also crazy how they're praising Dre for the Still Dre beat, when most of that shyt comes from Scott :what:

Youre right my only thing is, would the beat be THAT great without Dre's involvment ? How many beats of that level have the Storches, Melman and everybody else have ? Not too many. I choose to look at it like 70% Scott, 30% Dre.

The general public couldnt give less of a shiit but otherwise its known Scott is a very talented musician. Noticed there is quite a bit of Dre hate online so that crowd will tell you hes a worthless piece of scumbag. Me personally, think hes the GREATEST hip hop producer of all time based on his overall involvement in the 80s 90s and 2000s...

Too bad neither of them can come up with something truly great these days

Scott has got tons of credit from folks who grew up in that time period. Everyone knows he was apart of the Still DRE beat. However he fukked up his career but moving goofy and then he got shytted on by Timbo in that one song.

I mean, I agree, but tbh Scott came with the melodies, that's pretty much the hardest part of the job.
When you look at it, he's involved as a composer in a lot of hits, and he came with the most addictive elements in all of them:

-X (Xzibit & Snoop)
-Still Dre (Dr Dre & Snoop)
-The Streets (WC featuring Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg)
-Can't Hold Us Down (Christina Aguilera)
-Baby Boy (Beyonce)
-Poppin' Them Thangs (G-Unit)
-Candy Shop (50 Cent
-Just a Lil Bit (50 Cent)
-Playa's Only (R Kelly)
-Lord Give Me a Sign (Dmx)

And many more
He also solo produced Lefty new song that was released last week, that piano beat is :wow:

Perfect example... beat is nice, back in the day with Dres midas touch with a better known artist (brought in by Dres connection or recognition of talent) could put the song at a different CALIBER (pun intended)

But keep in mind these are all from one era and they all have a general all encompassing "sound" to them. Dre has different "sounds" for different eras. The era before this one and the era after this one and still had hits in all (albeit the latest has been as prolific but still better than most). Storch still has the same "sound" he had then.......

Guess I'm just providing another opinion because in truth we can all agree they are both top tier producers that provide eargasms almost anytime you hear them

Dre's weakness is he is not a pure musician like Storch, but as you said he is a producer/composer.... he has the Midas Ear..

Just a lil bit and lean back were produced by Scott Storch alone, the Scott storch dre stuff always sounds different than anything Scott would make in his own, I think probably finds the sounds and plays an idea of what he wants and then Scott creates a melody based on that

because he still does best as a session player and less as a producer. if you look at his work when he was solo there's no cohesion. he can play all day but someone has to trim the fat and make it succinct that' what Dre did. it's not like he just walked in the studio and played those notes and that was it. he played a bunch of shyt. that part of it was selected and built upon. dude is still producing today. he doesn't have direction

Its not. People have overrated Scott Storch and his credit on that song and his role in 2001. Storch isn't the only one playing keys on that song. Those aren't Storch's drums. Read the credits.
