Much respect to them, they created the best show ever.
Separately tho, isn't weird and a major omission until like Lovecraft HBO has never greenlit a drama created by Black people? Even Lovecraft which I plan to watch just haven't gotten around to it has a horror element that is a real turnoff personally. Generally speaking I really don't like the genre.

I mean Ed Burns was a cop and built relationships throughout the years, one of them being David Simon who was a reporter. Live enough life and you'll realize this aint that far-fetched. As intriguing as the street/drug life was the policing aspect was just as amazing. One of the greatest and most underrated scenes of the show. Bunny had so many great scenes but this one is my favorite and always gets overlooked and is more relevant especially in this day and times.
